What is better then a free book? How about a free book about nutrition?
The folks at BenBella Books Publishing contacted me and asked if I would like two copies of
The China Study, one for me and one for one of my blog readers. But of course!
So, here is the deal, comment on today's post and tell me that you would like a copy of The China Study, which does seem to have had great reviews in The New York Times and other fancy-dancy papers of repute, and Aodhan will select one of you lovely folks to receive the book. I plan to review the book on here, once I have had a chance to give it a read. But, the gist is that it draws a variety of connections between government interest groups and the poor nutrition in the US (which can then be applied to other Western countries I suppose).
Today's Vegan MoFo is a simple lunch that allowed me to use up more of that tasty pumpkin and eat up some brown rice that I was craving like noone's business! I also threw in some edamame....though, they were a bit tasteless. The great news is that I have loads left over for lunch tomorrow.
Today's snack was super nummy and I have Katie at
Chocolate Covered Katie to thank for the idea. She often posts about frozen grapes and I finally got around to freezing some grapes last night after our trip to the market. They really are fantastic! Thanks Katie - I will be doing this all the time now!

I'd love to win this book; thanks for the give-away!
I have Pumpkin-Bulgur Chili for today's lunch...not too far off from yours. :)
Aww, you're so sweet :). I wish it were warm enough here for frozen grapes!! But sadly it's ugly and rainy and cold. Enjoy 'em for me!
An avid reader, I'm always up for another book!
I'd be curious to read "The China Study" -- I've heard good things!
Perhaps we should start a blogger book club?? :)
I would love to win a copy of The China Study! I've heard great things about it, and I know a lot of common arguments for veganism come from the statistics in that very book. I would love to recommend it (or better yet - loan it!) to the people who ask me about my diet, but I think I should read it first!
It'd be great to win this book! My roommate got it from the library and has been reading it- although she is an omni, she has experimented with macrobiotic, vegetarian and vegan diets in the past. As a vegan myself, I was hoping the book would provide her with more clarity! Kind of embarrassing, but I recommended it but haven't yet read it in it's entirety- just reviews and have seen it cited in many studies! I'd love to read it myself without the 2 week time limit!
I'd love to win a copy of The China Study!
I am on the waiting list at my library to read this...I've already recommended it to my father-in-law, who recently stopped eating meat (but still eats fish) and my everything-eating hubby based on the reviews I've read.
I'd love to get a copy of this book. I borrowed it from the library a few months before I finally went vegan, and it was a big part of the reason I made the switch. I'd love to have a copy that I could loan to people.
I'd love a copy of the book... been meaning to get around to reading it.
Thanks!
Kate
The China Study blew my mind when I read it a few years ago. I can't wait to read your review!
I would love a copy of the book! Thanks for hosting a give-away!
Your rice and pumpkin dish looks some comforting and yummy!
Thanks so much for the giveaway, I'd love to read more about the China Study! Could provide daily healthy motivation :)
I already have that book and love it.... so I'm not entering the contest but just wanted to say hi :D

I'd love to win that book, I feel like I am one of the only vegans who hasn't read it!
I have heard a lot of good things about this book! I feel behind the times for not having read it yet!
I would love to have a copy of The China Study because I am always trying to convince my pescatarian mom to give up dairy, but unfortunately I am quite inarticulate when it comes to summarizing the data that shows dairy leads to cancer, heart disease, etc. If I had a copy of The China Study, I could point her to the cold hard facts and get closer to ridding her of her dairy addiction :)
China Study is an awesome book!!! I have the book & CD. The Doc we went to in PA highly recommended it. Thanks for bringing it to everyone's attention & giving it to someone :-)
I would definitely love to own this book!!! It would help me move forward in my ventures of my diet of choice!!!
